Artist's Description
Mugu Rock is a large rock formation that was formed when Pacific Coast Highway was built (around 1937) connecting Oxnard with Malibu. In order to accomate the road, workers cut through the mountain creating Mugu Rock which stands between PCH and the Pacific Ocean.
